We are excited to bring High School hockey back to Jacksonville this year!
We will be playing in the Central Florida High School Hockey League (CFHSHL), playing against counties like Brevard, Orange, Seminole, and Volusia. Our season will consist of 6 regular season games, plus a playoff tournament and potentially an all-star game for selected players.
The CFHSHL is a full-contact high school league divided into A and B divisions.
We will begin practice Monday, March 4th, and the season will conclude Memorial Day Weekend.
As it is our first year back in the league, the CFHSHL has asked us to partner with Volusia County for the creation of both an A and B team. Jacksonville will be hosting the A team for the 2019 season, while Volusia will host the B. Any players unable to make the Jacksonville A roster will be considered for Volusia’s B team.
We will host 24 practices for the season here in Jacksonville, on Mondays at 5:40 p.m. and Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. Games are typically held on weekends. We will host 3 home games this year.
Players on the Jacksonville A team must fully commit to the season length and practice schedule.
Jacksonville’s A team will be coached by:
- Josh Hudanish – email@example.com
- Jeff Bloomer – firstname.lastname@example.org
- Nick Szymula – email@example.com
Total cost for the season for Jacksonville A players will be $650.00, goalies are $325.00. This includes all league and practice costs as well as a high school team uniform.
Per CFHSHL rules, only players in grade 8 (rising 9th graders) to grade 12 are eligible to make either an A or B roster. The league goes by academic year, not player age.
